Since the start of the year I have been traveling between Chicago, NYC and Orlando and up until recently I haven't had much need to order a new comp. Now my adventures across America are coming to an end, and on the 31st I should be completely moved into my apartment, near the center of Orlando Florida. When that happens I will be attending college and resuming work on European Conflict as well as the rest of my modding projects.

Until then, expect the same old semi-productive Nem you have enjoyed for sooo long. :P

Such utter crap nem. Hope you didn't pay much for it. My piece of junk that is worth about $400 now is better than that.

Yes, I built mine. You bought that shit from Cyberpower. Cyberpower PC? You might have as well taken all of your money, and made a massive bonfire out of it. That would have been a far better use of cash. Yes.

Good to hear that your exploits will be settling down enough to allow you a somewhat laid back lifestyle Nem. :P Also, I know HotSoup doesn't think so, but I like your new rig.....just not the ATi card :xD:

His card + processor alone is worth $400, or at least thats what a quick check on newegg says.

And despite what you say those specs will still play any modern game on max settings no problem. Or at least I imagine it will as my setup is lower spec and can.

If you want my opinion, you should've gone for the HD5850 instead of the 5830, the former hasn't a very good rep out there :P

I hope you didn't pay some disproportionately inflated price, as the problem usually is with pre-built computers.

I never knew there was a state of Nem. Ah well, learn something new everyday I guess.

That being said, that is a big-ass tower. Compared to yours, mine is a midget and would probably be bullied around by it. I hope you're happy, make my computer all depressed and emo. [Is really tired atm since it is 5:00 in the morning]

$1000 - $1500

You should hae built it yourself, it's really not that hard, and you probably would have saved about $500-$700 somewhere in there.

Same guess.

Now make that into a laptop.

1150 without shipping :P

edit: also the 5830 is a bad choice when the 5850 is available for like $30 more.

Holy hell you people thought I was serious. How could you possibly think that. I was pretty obvious.

No, that comp is a beauty. I picked it out myself, so that Nem did nothing retarded like buy a $1500 Dell with 8GB of ram, an i7 quad core, 5TB of space, and an Intel integrated graphics chip. Cyberpower PC is the best comp company I have come across; it can be the same price or even cheaper than building it yourself up to the 1200 level. I won't spoil the cost, but really, it was a good buy.

Protip: Gaming laptops suck Ghost. Anything more powerful than a basic Optimus i3/i5 laptop is much to much.

Second Protip: The 5850 wasn't just $30 more at time of purchase, and one has to draw the line somewhere. If one keeps uping the parts, one pays far to much. The 5830 is fine, you sillys.

Yeah they aren't nearly as good and cost an arm and an ass Soup, but when you're traveling between three different places every week of the summer, then back to college and going on trips all the time, you can't exactly use a desktop. :P

Which is why you buy an Asus Optmius U30JC Laptop. It has 4 hours of gaming battery life and 7ish of internet on a single charge, the best battery life spec of any laptop that has a lick of chance at gaming, and can run warhead at 50 FPS or so. The only thing remotely in its league is a $1400 Alienware M11x. While the U30JC goes for $850, with a 2.5GHz i3, 4GB of ram, 500GB of HDD space, and a 310M+Intel optimus solution, and all the fixin's of a normal laptop.
