In this mini-update I'd like to show the remake of the Firehawk, GDI's main fighter jet.

F-53 Firehawk

Cost: 2000; Build time: 20s; Prerequisites: Tech-Center

Posted Image

The Firehawk is one of GDI's very few non-Orca aircraft and its frontline Fighter, designed to operate together with Orca gunships: It is normally equipped with 6 Air-Air medium range guided missiles. At the Airfield, it can be equipped with an Ion Cannon for close air support.

Special Abilities:
>>Switch Load-out: Switches between Air-Air missiles and Ion Cannon.

That's already all for Today, now you probably can see why I called it a "Mini-Update" :P

This looks nice Rho, but I am going to say what I've been saying to lots of mod teams, I can't see the bloody unit properly from a sodding in game screen shot!!! Yes it's nice to see the unit in action, but it's really difficult to give you any feedback on a unit (if you wanted it :P ) when we can't see the unit and skin because it's cammo'd by the map and background.

Can we haz renders pl0x?

The problem is, you can't see the skin on a render, because it looks different with the CnC3 shaders than with those in 3ds max.

One can't render stuff in 3ds max with CnC3 shaders.

Can you at least post a close-up screen when it's landed on the airfield? I'm really interested in the details in the skin.

That looks really cool, the detail is sweet. I love how there are black indents, it helps the unit stand out and makes it seem a bit evil.

Looks pretty good. The Airfield screenshot makes it look a bit anime-ish |8. Awesome stuff though. It would have been better if we could see the Ion Cannon pod though. I know its not possible since its at the bottom.

It's the bulge on the bottom, due to aerodynamics, the cannon is hidden in the pod, and fires the beam through a special membrane that has no effect on the ion beam, but doesn't let air in.

Nice this unit's texture is so much more seamlessly integrated with the C&C3 style.
