I choose t3h Ub3r 1337 :boxe: SU-27... altho it's old and maybe changed with the more up to date SU-37... it's still a very reliable plane and it's also battle-proven... and when it's 1st discovered.. it made american pilots piss on their pants..
it's got these scary looks and cool wing designs.. how 'bout you guys?

how 'bout F-117? they're also UB3R in penetrating enemy airspace, as it can make radar detection shrink to nothing... i guess it will be my fave bomber...

I say the Me262 is the best, since it's the first one ever made. Y'know, like how NES fanboys love the NES because it was first.

I hate the looks of all migs leading up to the 23 but love em all after that.
WWII wiseI'd go the P-38 or P-51i

hmmm, if I wanted to go exotic, I could say the ME-109TL. prototype jet varient of the ME-109 towards the end of the war.
but, on more realistic terms, I would say
F/A-18E Superhornet
F-14B "Bombcat" basically a F-14 armed with precision guided bombs, mainly used in Bosnia but served until the retirement of the F-14 last year.
F-14D Super Tomcat
F-15 Eagle all varients
F-16 Falcon all varients, excepting the F-16XL project (F-16 with a delta wing like desing that looks horrible)
A-10A Thunderbolt II and A-10B prototype (only 1 exists)
F-4E and G Wild Weasel
MiG series, but paticularly the -21 Fishbed, -29 Fulcrum, and 1.44 Technology Demonstrator
F-86 Sabre
P-51 Mustang
Spitfire
Seafire
AV-8 Harrier series
B-52
B-2 Spirit
B-17 Flying Fortress
oops, overzealousness. but yeah these are all good for there respective periods.

if it's all about technology and style, how 'bout SU-47/s-37 berkut? forward swept wing... rotary weapon systems
still, russian planes are cheap to produce, but bloody expensive to maintain...
for russian planes, i choose
SU27
SU34
SU35
SU37
SU47..
and maybe F22 raptor and the rafale is also nice and beautiful yet scary

B-17 was pretty crap. Lancasters were alot better.
Anyways, a pretty sweet looking plane is the Chinese J-10, based on the Israeli Lavi program.

B17 was definetly not crap. One of the most reliable planes of the war. Don't get me wrong, the Lancasters were awesome too, but the B17 was not crap. We lost plenty of them, but they were ****ing awesome. It was only the American bombing strategy that was flawed, not the plane itself.

the YF-23 is a pretty good one. it was a lot better than the F-22 would ever hope to be. too bad it was disqualified from trials due to its heavy contrails from tight turns. they give them away easily.
