No, I can assure you that I do not grow weary of this game because I prefer greenskin over ceramite armour. It is merely the fact that since this game's inception and fledgling stages, it has changed purpose. You were going to be thrown against the forces of Chaos into what looked like an era of 40k that happened just after the fall of Horus. Now it's decidedly post-Heresy and the Space Marines are fighting........Orks. Really? Couldn't there be a more interesting opponent? Sure, Orks are cool, but you see them pit against the Astartes at every single, bleeding turn. Guess the powers that be figured it would be more profitable to have a race with not much fighting skill go against the highly trained, extremely well disciplined Space Marines (yes, I do realize what I've just said, however, Orks make up for individual skill by hording massive numbers and a sort of low cunning that means they will not relent). I'd much rather tackle Eldar (or even Dark Eldar) or Chaos Marines over Ork (and no, that's not just because I'm a greenskin at heart).
Nooka, DID YOU SEE THE FIRST TRAILER?
I'm gonna cut it down, cause I can't find it, since it's from 2007 and the devs seem to have taken it down because they were ashamed of it:
The main character runs out of a temple, he's got a bolt pistol and a chainsword, outside is about 4 cultists with lasguns, SM then uses his bolt pistol (which fires like an SMG in the game) to STUN his enemies, in case you didn't know, a Bolt Pistol is essentially a .70 cal 6 shot rocketlauncher, He then proceeds to chainsaw them in insanely uncovincing ways, the PR guy starts talking about "Brutal Executions" (which means the SM sticks his chainsaw through them). Then a CSM shows up, The PR guy goes crazy and start ranting about how hard this guy is, the SM...hits him 4 times, then a quicktime event/mingame start WERE THEY START PUNCHING EACHOTHER! YES, WITH THEIR FISTS! WITH THEIR FISTS! I for one, prefer the new game.
