What I said was completely true. In Relics WH40k games, they give the orks a dark motivator. Whatever their real story in the warhammer lore, I was just talking about the games.
Also the story will undoubtedly be bigger than just Space Marines fighting to defend a world from the conquering orks. There is always something bigger going on which drives the story for CSM to come into play.
To me though it makes perfect sense. The ork populace may not be very controllable, but there are countless scenario's thinkable for more intelligent races to abuse the ork lust for war for their own purposes.

I know it's completely true, as I wasn't refuting that point. What I was pointing out however, was the fact that the Orks do not readily do something because some other races is enticing them. All the video games that include Orks have it all wrong. It's like they've never read the lore, or if they have, they've gone and dismissed the lot of it. I know it makes "perfect sense", as the Orks appear to be the least intelligent race in the galaxy, when in fact, their low cunning and inborn skills make them far more intelligent than anyone gives them credit for. Orks have their own agenda and these claims that video games have made about other races fiddling around with it is just complete nonsense.

It's kinda odd, on TvTropes, everyone in there seems to be convinced that Necrons are overused and overdone. I've never seen 'crons refered to in that way anywere else, including /tg/! Which is about the most cynical and nitpicky nerdhole on the entire internet!

Don't worry, I'm sure Chaos or some other faction will appear in the game. It would be kinda boring if it were just Space Marines/Imperium fighting Orks.

"Gaze into the bolter of Chaos!"
"GASE INTO THE FIST OF THE EMPEROR!" *Soul punch*
Pretty awesome trailer, I hope we'll get to see some more gameplay sometime.

This is one of the games I can't wait for, hopefully Relic will be smart enough to include a Co-Op campagin or some other Co-Op mode.

It has the little Multiplayer icon, so it's not entirely certain that it won't have Co-Op. All we can do is hope...

That is how the game should be, not just Space Marines against Orkz.

Whether I liked it or not is irrelevant. The game started out as some yet unnamed chapter, set amongst epic gothic architecture. The drive of the game used to be banishing the fallen Space Marines, yet somehow, someone, somewhere decided "oh no, fighting Chaos is too dull for the masses of loyal 40k fans that would buy this game, let's kill dem stoopid Greenskinz". Yeah.....whoever made that decision should be sacked. I was interested in Space Marine for the sole purpose of bashing Chaos in the face, then dashing their hopes upon a chainsword. I don't know, seems more interesting to fight something that actually stands a chance of killing me, rather than just mowing down mob after mob.

Well said but don't worry, they will make expansions with other races for sure

Nooka, I was just joking...You've already told us why you disliked the new concept...
Although I did find the early version horrible. What with the smg bolt pistol being used to "distract" the cultists and the "you combat equilant" CSM going down with 6 hits, which then launches a QTE where you and him have a punchout...
But yeah, Chaos would've been a better opponent than orkz, I just found the Early Versions gameplay stupid as hell.
And looks like we will be fightin dem spiky boyz afterall

The problem with what you've said Gabriel, is that there will have to be expansions....which means someone's a moneygrubber (okay, corporations are money whores, big surprise). I just find it...disheartening to see how the game has turned/is turning out to be. Sure the early beta had rough patches, but the whole concept was brilliant. The finished product has lost a lot of that luster.
Yes, Squig, I knows you woz jokin'. You gotz all Orky like.

Judging by the answers given, particularly the last one regarding voice-over talents, there will be a Space Marines 2. Interesting.
