I should really drop in more than once every six months.

Well done Wiz, I am properly pleased for you and now I will have to hunt you down and make sure you do not raise this poor child a football fan.

Little Thomas was born at 0017 hours on 28th May, 2011, weighing 8lb exactly (or 3.6ish kgs for you metric types). Mummy was induced at 1130 hours on the 27th and went into proper labour (stage 2 for those that know) at about 1600. Bit of a horrific couple of hours followed for Daddy as the epidural went very badly wrong and Mummy's BP dropped off the face of the earth. Luckily the attending doctors were able to stabilise her quickly, but leaving her with absolutely no feeling in her whole body. A few hours and lots of Hartman's later, she was awake and ready to push, where she managed to give birth to Tommy in about 90 minutes, as healthy as anything |8 . After a lot of blood tests both were home on Sunday and very glad of it.

Last few days have been simply fantastic, magical and utterly exhausting, but totally worth it.

Obviously I'll not be around for a few weeks, or at least until I get back to work, but I thought I'd check in with you all :xD:

So everyone say hello to the newest member of FS.....

Quote

As long as the dark foundation of our nature, grim in its all-encompassing egoism, mad in its drive to make that egoism into reality, to devour everything and to define everything by itself, as long as that foundation is visible, as long as this truly original sin exists within us, we have no business here and there is no logical answer to our existence.
Imagine a group of people who are all blind, deaf and slightly demented and suddenly someone in the crowd asks, "What are we to do?"... The only possible answer is, "Look for a cure". Until you are cured, there is nothing you can do.
And since you don't believe you are sick, there can be no cure.

Words can't express how happy I am for you Dan, it's genuinely awesome, especially after all you went through to get to this stage (and apparently fate wasn't above one last scare it seems!). I think you missed the best pic out though, of Daddy & Tom asleep with each other. That was sweet as anything |8

Genuinely can't help but break into a smile for you every time I see a pic of him (which is a lot courtesy of the shedload of photos of Tom on Facebook already). You're a lucky, lucky guy :xD:
