Speaking of ME games, is it worth getting and playing Mass Effect 1?

I got mass effect 2 free, since I got Dragon Age Two so I figured I'd read all of the ME spoilers to catch up on the story.

Its worth it yeah, your character in 2+3 will feel more like your own. Plus its a very good game too

Mass Effect series has the second best story I've seen inside the hundreds of games I've played. So; you must own and see the beginning of a legend

Yes. In fact, I wish I had played ME1 before I played ME2. IMO ME1 is less about the combat and whatnot and more about the story, setting and universe than ME2, but certainly not inferior because of that.

^It was confirmed somewhere by an one of the Bioware forum staff that he isnt. Seems a lot of people asked that question

I really hope they make RPG elements a big role again in MEIII. As for James Sanders, my quess he is brother/cousin of Kahlee Anders, but cant find any info about that.

As for TehKiller's question about Garrus;

If hes dead, hes dead. Maybe they modify game somehow that even if all people from MEII are dead who makes appearance on MEIII
will somewhat compensate that loss, or; if theyre really evil, they just do nothing about it and less companions you have, sadder the ending will be.

And I hope they let you to customize your crosshair/hud color because I am too damn used to red that I dont want to have it blue again
