A full lunar eclipse will begin to appear at 12:43 AM (Central Time) and the moon will become completely copper-red in color at around 1:27 AM (Central Time). This eclipse will last approximately 72 minutes (1 hour 12 minutes).

If you are living in the North American continent, go outside NOW to see this marvelous spectacle. This WILL NOT happen again until 2478, and I seriously doubt anyone will be around to see that again.

I live in the middle of some dark woods in the Eastern United States, but there's too much cloud cover to see anything right now. Damn it.
I just took a brief walk outside though, it's eerily dark out there. :xD:

I know! It's freakin cloudy where I am too. Though I managed to capture some screens of the eclipse... seriously awesome if the clouds would go away.

Uh, full lunar eclipses occur every 19 years. I don't know where you got the other date from.

Well... it's over now.

Whoever missed it missed something that will not happen again in another 400 years. Lunar eclipses come every 4 years or so, but rarely at all on the solstice.

I witnessed something special in my lifetime, then...

...but I don't get the point of the eclipse and the stream was behind crap so I don't think I can appreciate it :(

For all those who missed it.

Also, I was out, took a few peaks at it over the night, never really completely went black, just red. Weird. All in all not as exciting as a Solar eclipse.

The moon isn't supposed to turn black during a lunar eclipse, it turns red NergiZed XD
