it looks scarily realistic actually. i literally gasped for air when the tank received multiple hits and that long view at the burning horizon was... genuinely scary.

I'd say that the presentation of BF3 alone beat everything Microsoft threw up on the scene. MW3 and Halo didn't make up for all the shitty games they had just to try and sell that damn accessory that no one really wants

Also, its a good year for 3's in the titles

All sequels, I quite like the look of Overstrike though. BF3 looks nice, thing is, it was shown on a PC. So It's unlikely it will look as good on the consoles.

About the MW3 trailer: it looked quite decent: a LOT of reused stuff (in fact all gun and vehicle animations and sounds are straight from MW2) but I guess it's fair to assume many are placeholders, like in the E3 MW2 trailer. Everything looks very scenic, I have to say. So far all the mission elements are known though: predator drones, minigun helicopters etc. Dual scopes are nice, a fun element, and I like that GL's reticle. Nothing makes me jump particularly high though, especially not compared to the awe I was in during the E3 MW2 reveal.

One detail worth noting though: the strawberry jam screen seems to be replaced by a bloody slash overlay that is considerably more reminiscent of the CoD 4 one, most notably being quite clear in the middle of the screen meaning you can still see a bit. This is an important detail for multiplayer.

GoW and Halo are irrelevant to me, seeing as I don't own a Sexbox, and I don't care much about the Tomb Raider series. But I see what you are going for, totaly forgot about the fat space marines

Speaking of Space Marines, I have high hopes on THQ to deliver that, really want some more on that aswell as some more info on the multiplayer.
