What game(s) are you most looking forward to?

I would have thoguht that some titles would be higher up to the list than what is shown by the results :P.

Not in any praticular order;
Command & Conquer: Generals 2 (Not being released in 2012, originally pointed to poll from here )
Mass Effect 3
Halo 4
BioShock Infinite
Starcraft II - Heart of the Swarm
Borderlands 2

A lot of sequels to good games comming out this year :). Speaking of, that list is made up mostly of sequels :P

I'm looking forward to Call of Duty X. Not because I want the game or because I have any particular love for the franchise any more, but simply because I am looking forward to the hate that it will bring out in people .

There aren't any games on that list that I am anticipating. May get D3, but likely only to stop Chyros from bugging me to get it :P

Half Life 3!

...Oh wait, you said 2012, I thought it was 2042 D:

I'd say Assassin's Creed 3, Hitman V, and GTA V.
Seems like 2012 is gonna be a crappy year for video games...

It's the three 3's for me. Diablo, Mass Effect, and Assassins Creed. Not particularly bothered by anything else at all. :/

Heheheheh, if it's made by Treyarch it will be a giant shitstorm again, no shadow of doubt about that :xD: .

Same here. Not even slight news from Assassin's Creed 3 yet, I wonder if it will really come out this year :/
Story was so awesome in Assassin's Creed Revelations, I simply can't wait for the next one...

The thing bringing timesplitters down is perhaps the unlikelyness of it's release :P

It's not as if they will actually release Diablo 3 before the next decade anyway :P .

Nah, Timesplitters 4 would be at the top if it was more likely to actually exist :P

Not unexpectedly though, knowing Blizzard :xD: . That's what I like about them though; Blizzard seem to be the only game developers left that NEVER compromise on quality. Only the very best will do, and I'm content with waiting if it will show in the final product.

Except for writing

SC2 had the most horribly cliche writing I've ever seen. And some really retarded plot turns to boot.

Ugh, one of the conversations was so bad it made my mind shut down and reboot:

"Tell me why I shouldn't kill you right now!"

"Because I can give you (DRAMATIC TURN) what you always wanted!"

Quote

As long as the dark foundation of our nature, grim in its all-encompassing egoism, mad in its drive to make that egoism into reality, to devour everything and to define everything by itself, as long as that foundation is visible, as long as this truly original sin exists within us, we have no business here and there is no logical answer to our existence.
Imagine a group of people who are all blind, deaf and slightly demented and suddenly someone in the crowd asks, "What are we to do?"... The only possible answer is, "Look for a cure". Until you are cured, there is nothing you can do.
And since you don't believe you are sick, there can be no cure.

To be honest games have always had a lower standard of writing than other mediums, primarily because it is further and further away from writing itself.

When the poets started, the storytellers complained.
When the novelists started, the poets complained.
When the playrights started, the novelists complained.
When the composers started, the playrights complained.
When the screenwriters started, the composers complained.
When the video game writers started, the screenwriters complained.

Ad nauseam.
