I would suggest that you think about meeting somewhere easy to locate/get to from north and south main line train stations, so central (west-ish), such as Covent Garden (slightly more east tbh), Soho, Piccadilly or Leicester Square.
As to what you get up to during the afternoon..... if I were there then I'd probably suggest a bit of scoff, followed by a bar crawl around some major landmarks. I think that might not suit you all, so why not just pick your top 3 attractions and just head to whichever you want to. I have no idea if you want some culture and history or just to look around some places you might recognise.
So long as you're central for the early evening then I'll be able to find you. I am not going to suggest anywhere for food, as all of my recommendations will be rather OTT for you lot. We can just jump into any restaurant we see at about 7! It's only going to be used for soaking up the alcohol in the evening anyway.
Moving on, we should think about moving out for the evening as it'll be jammed with tourists and lacking in atmosphere. If you really want to go and see something in Leicester Sq. then we can do, but I think that we'd be better off heading to Hoxton (bit of a journey), Vauxhall (blargh, south of the river

Personally I think that you can plan and plan a day/night in London and it always falls on it's arse. Best bet, pick somewhere everyone can find, then wander around till you want to sit down/eat/drink. Then move on again when you're bored.

I like any of those three ideas that you've posted, perhaps go-karting most of all because well... if Ben's coming it'll be sheer delight with which I ram him off the road

So as far as I see it, it's meet early afternoon, piss around, pretend to be tourists, eat, get pissed, collapse somewhere overnight. Sunday I'm not quite as sure as to whether there's an intention to anything, but I honestly don't mind either way? All sounds good to me though... in all honesty very slightly 'excited' for it - should be a blast.

There is a 1900 slot at the Tower Hill Team Sport Track. Total cost for 5 is £214.75 or £42.95 each.....That would be 3 races. I haven't been to that particular circuit but I know that Team Sport do good karting circuits.
