The water began its journey as a droplet
As the drops merged, they grew to a trickle
Building up speed and quantity as the sparkling flow went on
At times the mass would slow to pass through the sloping earth
As the trickle wended its way, some of what it had gained was lost
But this was regained as the droplets dripped down the bank
A mossy green bank with patches of algae here and there
The flow meandered its way through the pipe under the brown path
Then it gathered itself into a small brook
As the brook went through the ditches and furrows of bygone years
The stream turned into a flow of brown mud
As the droplets crept over the dry and cracked earth
Others joined this small shimmering brook as they tumbled down the hill
Toward the Wishing Well

(albeit quiet here.....)
To listen and learn, or contribute and teach.
