What do you mean by 'the power' ?

Solid and durable technology. Intel processors tend to break down easier in my experience. I've had customers with Intel processors which got burned. And no, they're where not even overclocked. Perhaps a blunt statement, I dont know for sure, but AMD processors have a longer lifetime.

Ah I see though I am unsure of the validity of that statement but Nvidia and Intel are pretty much unrelated and even then, ATi don't use the same tech as AMD except on their joint project (Fusion IIRC, which combines a CPU and a GPU I think).

The general idea is that you rate each other if you want to participate.
As for Raptor (no, I can't be bothered copying and pasting), I'd give you a 9/10, pretty much nothing it won't handle but it doesn't quite represent the at-this-stage-you've-got-too-much-money-to-burn absolute hyper requirements you'd have at the ultimate level. Not far off, though.
For ultra1437, I'd give it an 8/10. Looks extremely solid all-round.
Man this topic makes me wish I had a job.

Actually I already did do so earlier and didn't see much point putting it up again when it's exactly the same.

Well at least it won't go to waste since he's running Vista, which is going to try and use a lot of anyway.

I'd give it a 9.7/10 only, because I like Intel better, and he only has a 17" monitor for his 3 videocards...

Manufacturer: Self-Built
CPU: Intel E6400 @ 2.13 GHZ
RAM: g.Skill DDR2 800 2 GB

I'll post my tablet pc another time.

I have almost exactly the same rig minus a few bits and pieces, cooling unit plus a few more like 12GB DDR3. Mine cost £2,300. Don't know what that is in another currency. It may be a touch cheaper on the continent where Kenny got his, we get ripped off on most things that involve the Queens head.

Well with discount I got it for €1550. I reckon without discount it'll cost around 1800 minus keyboard and mouse. In dollars... 2000 perhaps 2200.

Its a very nice rig, but I doubt I would need that much space and power (as in Watts on the PSU)

9/10

Add the two new VelociRaptor and RAID I'll make it 10

Planning a new desktop for next year and I'll hopefully get these essential parts by May:
  • AMD Phenom II X4 920 2.8GHz Quad-Core
  • GIGABYTE GA-MA790FXT-UD5P Motherboard (The price vs specs of this mobo is insane)
  • Kingston 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333MHz
  • MSI R4870 ATi 1GB GDDR5

I'm undecided about storage memory but if I can find a decently priced SSD to use for the system drive I would definitely bank on one. Depending on what prices I can get in Beirut, I will have anything between 1 and 2 TB in RAID 0 config. As for case and power supply, I'll leave those to what I can find in Beirut as well as I am unsure how I am gonna get these from Montreal to there. I don't believe there is anything else I may be missing.
