I had two reasons:

1. The Mods here.

2. I was searching for free rapidshare accounts, then I stumbled on your site (IDKW) and what a coincidence that this forum has also the SHW Forum (oh,cool)

I joined a while ago, but as I wanted to break in slowly I didn't start posting much on the other 2-3 CC3 sites I'm a member of.

I want to eventually learn how to do simple modding of CC3TW, in particular, stock unit replacement.

Maybe later on I will try more ambitious goals, but if I can enhance my enjoyment a tiny bit, that's enough for me.

I have mainly modded Freespace 2 for several years (despite having practically no skills to speak of), but with the community there getting more jaded and I receiving almost ZERO support over all that time, I have been drifting a way more and more.

While I totally enjoyed Generals (ZH), the constant generic "Something is wrong and I have to crash now" message has pushed me beyond my limts. I am done with it... I will miss it, but I've found over the last year CC3TW & KW is MUCH more stable! I think I had only ONE wierd CTD in the year or so I've played them!

I'm mainly a Voice Actor (for mods), and try occasional kit-bashes for myself of my twisted ideas. Sometimes people like them, or at least know enough about me that they allow me to butcher their works. Kidding!

For the record, while I was loosely involved with a Mod team (that on the surface was trying to revive an older project), they were not above board and somehow that spilled over to me. I did contribute to them from resources I SECURED from my contacts, and it even turns out so far that none of those have been used regardless!

Worse, they abandoned the project as far as CC3TW goes and mentioned switching to spring (which I find unwieldy ATM). With nothing to show and time passing, I sense the loss anyway.

It started out a good idea, executed poorly, and ended very badly. Nuff said.
I don't run MY projects like that!


As for me, I'm a HUGE scf-fi/Fantasy/and Anime OTAKU!

I'd do anything I can to pit Starblazers versus Gundam, or my Avatar against the Borg ect...

Infact, aside from trying to make anime mods I also write crossover fanfiction for the last Four Years(and use my efforts for screenshot rendors to support the fanfic!)


So, glad to see this community is still ACTIVE, and hopefully I might even get to learn something, though to tell you the truth most of the skills required go way over my head and I truly have no talent.

I've got heart though, and a lot of friends! (Sounds sappy huh?)

I joined this forum because I want to get my boardgame hosted here! Yes it sounds silly but I have grand plans for it, one day it will be a mod in red alert 3, but for now it is stuck in boargamedom. I want to know who to send my hosting application to. I might add some more information in my next post, I'll look for a good topic section to put it in. I'm really just looking for input and ideas, (lots of those.) So any feedback would be good. I have to go do english homework now, it's Macbeth, I nver knew why we do so many tradegies anyway? Oh well you gotta do what you gotta do.

To get hosted, first thing to do is to show your work, and as for the correct forum, I guess the RA3 section in Game Modding will work, since you do plan for it to be RA3 in the future.

Oh, and welcome, to the forums.

Umm... Hi *Being shy here :O* The reasion why I join this fourm is for a couple of reason.

A. Becouse the voices in my head told me to join, B. Becouse I wanted to get my mod hosted here(to acheve some of my dreams), C. I'm a forum addict(its true I'm a mod for a game). and D. I hope to learn something here

So ya.. I hope Im welcomed. I'll talk more about myself in a later time. But for today... Im a fourm nub.

Sure thanks ^_^ PLus I'll keep that in-mind too. Well I was a previous Mapper from a different game called "World-in-Conflict", but unfortenetlly my previous mod studio shut down(We didn't even started on anything D:)... So for now, I'm iching to let my creativity out again to mod again.

Well, first I was here to download models and particles back in 2010. Then I forgot the account existed. Now I'm back...to download more models and particles. Generals and I go in cycles like that.

But I dunno, dead forums are pretty fascinating. I think I'll probably stop and actually participate now.
