Only if you're using a tiny sensored camera. My friend's EOS 550D can shoot at ISO 6400 and get decent results. Also a bigger aperture helps too.

1) Those pics are not from Australia. This is proven by the fact there are no crocodiles, koalas, kangaroos, snakes or any other forms of wildlife any sane person would consider to be an alien lifeform from Mars in either picture .
2) In the second pic you look so much like one of my friends, it's uncanny .
