None of the movies apart from 3 showed that. And true I don't need plot or else Avengers would not have been as good. It's all the things in between that get in the way IMO.

Admittedly such a design probably doesn't fit with the nature of the car, but it could be worse. A lot of cars I see in this game look like someone on acid painted then O_0

EDIT: I also wouldn't mind if you could just import livery textures into the game, then I could leave it to someone who really knew what he was doing. :|
