Oh you mean Petroglyph?
Seriously though, Empire at War was a good game. Too bad they ruined their record with Universe at War after that.
Universe at War had the potential of becoming a very good game but sadly they ruined it...

I think what I'm trying to say is it's never going to be the same and that you should just enjoy the occasional indie game

I agree, in fact I'm loving all this indieness about. However, while some fantastic new titles have come out, a lot of old doors haven't been closed yet, and due to IP issues they can't be closed.
Just because you can make a squeal doesn't mean you should
Name an example in the list I posted earlier of a game of which you would say "wow, I really think it would be a bad thing if they made a true sequel to that"

.
Yeah but a true squeal is basically just the same game
You want them to release the same game with new levels/content? Like a decade late expansion pack or something? Sounds good!
For some games, yeah, that's exactly what I want, actually

.
They did that with XCOM. Enemy Within is pretty good so far, just what I wanted. I wouldn't mind to pay 26 bucks to another cool dlc. Since they release utter shit game at 60$, I think such dlc content well worth it!
