Not having a home really doesn't excuse unprovoked antisocial behaviour. Either you're a decent human being, or you're not.

Besides, the social welfare net in this country is quite vast and multilayered. We don't have many homeless people, and they have iphones and stuff like that too. Being homeless virtually never means you're destitute, and I'm sure this guy wasn't either. It really felt more like he got homeless because he was a piece of shit than the other way around.

Usually that is the case.There is also a possibility that unfortunate events in succession can turn someone asshole.

For instance, i have 0 empathy towards elderly. It wasn't always like this, thanks to Erdogan and his vast majority of votes coming from old people, i say fuck'em. I will likely walk around if i see one collapse nearby.

No, after a bunch of calls to other places I'd been, I managed to pin down that I must've lost it there, and as it turned out, someone had found it and handed it to the reception, where I collected it. Everyone was really polite and helpful, so it wasn't as bad as it could've been.
