A few years ago there was a really big/important website launch where 3 devs were working out of hours to prep the site. The main dev that was actually putting the site live cut his finger off just before we were scheduled to press the button and I had to step in and pick it up instead.

I feel like there are easier ways to get out of a scary launch like that.

I can't believe he cut off his button pressing finger ;(

I knew a guy at secondary school who broke his arm and missed a load of school. Once it healed and he came back in, his arm 'happened' to break again. We all knew he broke it again himself.
