They were constantly destroying walls due to underground attacks, but wouldn't get through the defences. It got to the point where I wouldn't bother looking at the destroyed item warning unless it got above 40 at a time.

The bigger issue was they would occasionally dig under the water and bypass the defences.

That was the lame part of Factorio. You send the rocket an it ends... But now it isn't. With Space Age rockets have a true purpose now
