Well it's not out yet so that's not too surprising . It's made by the same team that made C&C Renegade X.

I played Renegade but don't remember if i liked it or not

It's a great game but there were a few things that could use improvements. For example, the maps all have chokepoints that make it difficult to push through, which means matches can lock up and last very long. There's also infinite (and very fast) repair which further keeps these deadlocks alive. Finally everything has a LOT of HP. Firestorm fixes all these things, though it also changes the game quite a lot in general away from Renegade. It's now more like a Battlefield game.

Every week we do (closed) testing. Every once in a while they let new testers apply, if you're interested to join up you can request access .

I really like the RTS/FPS hybridness of it without having to rely on a commander. Most RTS/FPS hybrids have a commander and it leads to several problems, such as unskilled commanders losing you the match before it's even begun, and worse, the "nobody wants to play commander" problem.

I miss NS2! The closed maps and the skulking was amazing. I'll give Firestorm a go when it comes out!

Maybe an AI commander might have worked...

Yes, but we waited to play it BECAUSE it was so good!

More people just needed to play it
(Generally we also spent a lot of time waiting for people to be the commander...)
