So what is the coolest 40k faction?

That answer is personal and all 40k fans will likely have a different answer.

I like a lot of things about Eldar, so i would say it is Eldar for me. But i also have a lot of favourite characters and stories from other factions.
Their technology is so advanced it is akin to magic. As if it is not enough, all members of their race have psychic abilities naturally. They are also beautiful

I like Imperial Guard, but I's also aware they are the lamest faction for basically just being WW1/2 humans with large guns.

Personally, it is Inquisitor: Martyr for me. It is action rpg and it has the best 40k feeling, atmosphere and world design But unfortunately, gameplay can feel quite repetitive.

Darktide is a fps and has great 40k feeling, atmosphere and world design. But also unfortunately, it doesn't has a real story and factions are limited to just Imperial "rejects" vs Nurgle cultists.

Dawn of War Soulstorm is a rts and covers the most factions in all the 40k games. But again, unfortunately it is quite outdated though, i would have recommended this one if it was 15 years ago.
