I wouldn't exactly call Australia part of the range of rabbits, considering they're an introduced species.

To an extent, I am indeed. My parents are both foreigners, and I have no Australian heritage.

My parents have pretty Australian accents too, as they have been here since they were children. My parents parents (the one still alive, that is) still have/had their foreign accents, however.

That's how things work over heyah.

It is still a proper dialect, just like Indian English.

I guess it's just a matter of proximity. Just like I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a Flemish and a Dutch accent, I guess you can't tell the difference between Kiwis and Australians.

It's pretty easy to differentiate all the other English dialects as well, though.

You will lol when you hear Turkish people attempt to talk english ( uneducated ones - those who don't know yet trying to act like they know some shit ) I personally avoided talking it for years because of the embarrassment on how it sounds so bad, now I just don't give a shit.
Though highly educated ones talks so perfectly it is almost impossible for non english people to spot the difference in the accent. ( which means Turkish language actually fits to english one verbally, there is not that much difference )
Hell, I sometimes having hard time to understand when Turkish people talk Turkish, they just... need to get a serious diction education. Whats good with talking when people cannot express themselves with their native language anyway.

Oh shit I did it again :P
