AOE2 now finally is now getting a fully optimised release for modern computers. Really keen for some games on the 5th of April.
:awe
Seriously, about the only thing that stops me from continuing to play AOE2 online is the relative instability (around half of all games either end in a crash, or don't start at all). With this it means we can have some solid 8 player games without crashes.

Looks like I need to polish up on my Goths. 8|

Yes, we had a cheese and wine evening yesterday. Brit style of course, of most people were smashed before a normal party would even begin. This style of drinking is very efficient btw, because it allows you to still go to bed not THAT late and therefore still be at work the day after 8| .

Was good times :D .

Blame our previous archaic licensing laws. The only reason we Brits have reputation for getting hammered before anything begins is our instinct that the pubs will shut before we're drunk so we cram it in early doors! Personally that style has never worked for me.

Wasn't really predrinking, we just started early :P . And some people apparently vomited copiously and explosively :P . Before midnight :P .

We predrink here too, even though most pubs are open until 0400/0500, because alcohol.

Honestly, the suggestion of going for pre-drinks these days is one I meet with horror. 'Lets all go round some blokes dingy house, sit there with awfully cheap alcohol, play a shitty drinking game, and then stagger out of the house all pissed as farts'.

Whatever happened to having a drink down the pub and going on from there? D8

Also, utilisation rates can kindly fuck right off :(

Maybe because they just don't want to drink with people which they have no clue about ? |8 Or perhaps they simply find the idea of encountering an Irish or Strayan man in the pub disturbing? 8|

Well the only way to converse with a drunk Irishman (or Scotsman or Australian) is to be inebriated yourself. |8
