My English education is pretty fucked up too because of that My personal use of English consists of both BrE and AmE, so when I type/write, a sentence/paragraph can end up having BrE and AmE structure contradictions/perceived mistakes to the other English, in it

Even worse with Mainland Chinese, one of their English teachers would've been a native Chinese taught by an American, another a foreign Irishman and the last one an Australian Chinese when they get here. No consistency.

The accent is usually fairly neutral across the board but the word choice sometimes blows my mind.
