Possible, usage of weapons in the military is quite responsible and safe. (Even with all the safety measurements, people still get killed in training though...)

Why? You guys evolved into vampires after getting used to rain for so long?

Heatstroke. The trainees are brainwashed so much not to give up that they push themselves through dehydration.

This might be an American movie but it was almost identical here (minus the funny hat) Might be same for all NATO countries, they have similiar training (both physical and mental)

Heat injury's been a big thing they've been pushing in the Army here for the past few years, with lots and lots of hydration periods. 500mL of water per hydration period. Think they've managed to cut down lots of these cases!

Apparently some of the stuff in Full Metal Jacket is now illegal for drill instructors to do in the US (the film raised awareness).

Beating the shit out of the soldiers is illegal here too but high ranking officers are basically the law itself in the military so

But i think they have to. I have never seen so many imbeciles in my life, living under the same roof. Don't get me wrong, everyone in the army has properly functioning brain (otherwise they won't be accepted in during the test) but it feels like most of them never used it.

That's all fine and dandy when you have a professional army. I'm not sure it works all that well with conscription.
But then again, I'm pretty sure conscription isn't a very good thing to begin with
