So, how is the C&C Remake? Tell us!

Pretty good!

I've only played Red Alert so far, but the graphics look amazing (Factorio levels of clarity, but not the same amount of detail). You can swap to the old graphics at any time to get a sense of how much they've improved it without taking away the old style.

It's a pure nostalgia fest. The music has been remastered and it is glorious. I think it just shows that CnC is as much about style as it is substance.

Of course, it still only plays like Red Alert, which is average at best. I loved the game when I was younger, but after playing so many RTS games since the game play is just okay. I'd say that Age of Empires 2: HD is much more fun to play, even though it lacks some of the style that CnC has.

I'm probably going to play through the Tiberium Dawn campaign (as I never did when I was younger) and maybe some skirmishes with some friends, but I can't see myself dropping a ton of hours in.

The final note is that they've added modding support, so maybe the game will have more features once the modders get their hands on it.

Remastering became a trend recently, so i am pretty sure many of the old games will be remastered in a few years.

They're not going to remaster Generals ever, because you know, the GLA are Islamic Jihadist Terrorists who's gameplay is all about committing as many war crimes as you possibly can before the International Community can catch you.
