I am not sure if i can recommend his lectures to anyone going through a hard patch. At first, it made me feel better, by making me look at things from another, nicer point of view. Then came the existential crisis, worse than before. His speech kinda dances with the Nihilism.

I used to enjoy Factorio solo but now after trying it on multiplayer, solo feels "meaningless" :( Not that mp has meaning either but feels different.

What is it with human psyche that triggers this? Why collaboration and competition feels better than a relaxed solo experience?

I actually had the opposite. I used to play it in multiplayer, but I can really only play it solo now.

Multiplayer is nice since you can quite quickly build up a factory, but I find it comes with a lot of FOMO too. D;
