Don't worry, there is nothing to spoil, it is all a visual and auditory spectacle :)

I'll probably pirate the HBO Max version and watch that at home first, but will go to cinema later. |8

It's 28 years old by now and plays nowhere near as well as more modern Mortal Kombat games, but honestly I think the sound design of MK2 is the best in the series. It's a perfectly orchestrated audiovisual feast IMO .

Unlikely, I didn't play MK2 until much later. I had MK3 instead.

I admire the graphic works though, MK looked much better than the 3D games came out a decade later on consoles. Probably because of the genius sprite work:

I played MK1 the year it came out, on a camping, where they had arcade machines. SF2 had just come out too, they had it there. That game was awesome and played like a dream, but MK1 was something way more special IMO.

Dan Forden, the sound engineer behind Mortal Kombat, is a really talented guy as well. He was previously known from some pinball machines (which Midway was famous for at the time), including what's generally considered to be the greatest pinball machine of all time, Medieval Madness. He did a really good job of the sounds and music in MK, and especially how they combined with the graphics. But I think MK2 sounded the best, and the visual design was definitely the best as well IMO. I played MK3 throughout most of my childhood instead, but that looks and sounds much worse now IMO, even if it plays better. MK2 just feels like a really well put-together, tight-fitting whole.

(your mother feels like a tight-fitting hole, I know :P )
