Man, replaying through the DK1 campaign again for the umpteenth time; what a game. DK2 was mechanically better, but the atmosphere, pacing, and especially the music, DK1 had down to a tee.

Of course, there was that spiritual sequel, WO, and it had lots that worked, but he never really did THE thing.

Yeah, I know they had to change things for copyright reasons, but can it really be called a spiritual sequel if he doesn't do the thing? The whole game just felt kinda hollow to me.
