Naval units are often my favourite in RTS games. Just a giant battleship raining death on an enemy's base, or an aircraft carrier fleet destroying everything it comes across, or strategic missile subs laying waste to the enemy. A few small tanks are never gonna match the sight of that 8) .

I really hope Sanctuary succeeds :D!
Yeah that looks great :D . TA-style RTS games often do naval units really well!

As a whole I think, not even just naval. Supreme Commander still has my favourite unit selection across the board.
True, but many non-TA type games don't make naval units quite as impressive because they don't have units that are tiered as strongly. Units-of-magnitude stronger (and more expensive) units are a very TA thing.

Agreed! They don't capture the fact well that warships are BUILDINGS THAT MOVE and can be equipped with a lot more weaponry than similarly-sized ground units. In all my years of RTS gaming, it's very hard to beat SupCom's naval unit design!

and cuz there's literal not much focus on naval in RTS at all...Eugen's Wargame Red Dragon had naval units but they're practically out of sight and out of mind with how limited you could use them!

SupCom's maps were large enough to utilise naval. Naval battles on small maps feels more like ducks in a pond.

The Napoleonic total war game has cool naval with different cannon types ect.

The first game that did it well was Red Alert 1, with the cruiser. That thing could level whole bases from half the map away.

Btw, if you look closely, in the cutscenes the cruiser is depicted as an Iowa-class battleship :D .

C&C sucks at depicting naval units combat-wise (engine limitations and simple unit design as intended) in general but at least they designed the ships to look nice :P

The only thing remotely decent was the GDI Battleship in TW since it had a more advanced engine allowing it to have multiple turrets and the VLS launcher! Shame it was just a building though.

TW's engine broke something from ZH and there were no more CTOL aircraft anymore! Ugh! That aircraft carrier model was such a waste.

Okay. I'll give you something to eat if you want to go to the shop and see if you can get a chance to be a good time to sit on the house and they are sold out for a bit of a holiday in your wheel house so we will have to get the latest chess tournament in my room.

Are you using autocomplete or something else to do it for you I mean you thought I was a little girl who loves to play with a knife and fork in the morning.

Most of the shit in my autocomplete comes from Duolingo.

I'm just glad it added "and fork" because that sentence was becoming very dark.
