From everything I've seen and heard it's basically Rust except it's Factorio in Borderlands with Pokemon. The gameplay loop is, you kill pokemon for food and build a base, then fight more pokemon to enslave them and put them to work in your factory to make guns for you. It's weird but I might pirate it to try it out and see if it's okay.

Monster Hunter is all about killing monsters, making gear out of them, hunting stronger monsters with those, and repeat until that last monster which one shots you and makes you throw the controller
