what about it? (if your saying use it, it doesn't support vehicles, and besides this way i can have exactly what i want)

EDIT: i have a request for a model if someone wouldn't mind, i want a model of a person, sitting on a bike (the bike is optional, i can make the bike), to be more precise this is going to be a combat bike. The model can be between 500-700 polys, hope someone will, because i can't model people for shit :read:

Just a question for the targeting, shouldn't it be the regular point and click that all FPS's use to attack?

i am developing a few small programs that could allow people to help me, you don't need knowledge of darkbasic, but it would help if you have experince in modding zero hour.

I am also looking for a few people to make some models, they can be quite high poly...

so if you intrested in helping out, post here, or contact me on MSN for more details....

UPDATE:

i have developed a better targeting system than the one in the latest video, because i later realised that system wouldn't work on vehilcles like the quad cannon that could fire upon air...

so i have made an auto-target system, that when an enemy is in range the cross hair will move to that object, and you can cylce through all available objects. a manual control option will also be available, so that quick fire weapons like quads can rape planes (and infantry if i can find an ionfantry modeler)

this however doesn't apply to heavy artillery, like the nuke cannon, you will have to deploy the nuke cannon, once in deploy mode you can press 'fire', this will change to an over-head view, where you can select the target..

any comments?

also feel free to post ideas, because this is just based upon generals not a complete recreation :P

What about a navy? Or maybe a unique infantry that can call in a battleship artillery strike?

Game is looking great btw, i would definitely play it as it is now even.

but anyway i need a few beta testers of my model making program, you need to have at least a basic level of understanding of 3D models :loels:, because it is nearing completion

this thread never got got my attention till this paticulair moment...

bob if you need any help i'd be happy the help with skinning and modeling and we could even port over some original shockwave models the only thing we have to do before we get this show on the road is ask permission from EA as this game will not require any original EA game to play it so it might couse copyright problems for us later (i had this happening to me once and i had to scrap the whole project including several models skins sounds and other work i had done)

but otherwise count me in :cool:

Seems a really nice game, I could do some basic cameos, so you can concentrate on other stuff :cool: EDIT: Lol , cameos are not part of this game are they? XD

thanks hunter, thats given me a bit of a boost of enthusiasm, i thought people had given up on my game already.

i'm a nearing completion of the model maker program, just found quite a big bug, so i need to iron that out before it can be used :cool:

Looks quite promising - like one of the first screens I ever saw of the Generals SAGE.

I like the swaying motion on the rocket buggy. 'Tis very cool.

Well I hope you dont abandon this. Its promising. ANd if needed I would be happy to beta test and maybe model but I havent done anything with alot of polys. I sent you my models for domination so you know how good or bad I am.

I like the look of the videos and the idea of the game, if your desperatly short of coders i know some rudimentary C/C++ but im currently without a decent compiler. If i cant get my hands on one (any recommendations) i'll still happily beta for you.
