The .dds is a compressed texture-format that includes both alpha-channel and mip-maps (there are dds-types that might not include one of these in order to improve quality or lower the file-size). Generally, they load faster, take less memory capacity and also improve game-performance a bit.

DXTBmp is a freeware tool that allows you to edit various file formats like .dds, .tga and others. The Photoshop-plugin is a tool released by NVidia that adds .dds export/eimport functions to Photoshop.

I edit Particle Systems but I can't send and save it to INI directory because when you click it , nothing happens , and I can't edit INI file directly in Notebook
