[Slightly Wonky Robob]

the thought occured to me, we are a community full of model, so i think we should have a MOTW (Model Of The Week). What does everyone think?

it would function basically the same, an image would be shown, and you have to model it.

Would anyone be intereseted, or would it be a waste of time?

I don't like modelling off an image, I think it would be fair if it did not have to be skinned and it was only based on a text description

thats what i was thinking, skining is optional, and i'm not sure on text description, but i'm flexible, i'll wait for other reactions first

I will participate ... one condition :
the skinning is not only optional ... it's NOT ALLOWED

Coz If U notice in SOTW :
Animation is optional ... Bob Always win coz he knows how to animate
and the same will happen in the MOTW ...
so If The Skinning Is Optional ... I won't participate if it isn't Allowed I will

Bob doesn't always win.
And he doesn't win because he can animate.
He wins (sometimes) because his Sigs are actually high-quality.

Since I don't know how to model, I have no view on this.
Just thought I'd point out some of abour's errors.

Well, Bob has already seen that it would be impossible for me to even extract the skins out of their files because my computer sucks so bad. If skinnin is optional, then I would be interested.

still, there is the factor of laziness involved Besides, if you could win even without a skin, wouldn't that show more talent?

It's a great idea, but let people model whatever they want. Also, maybe post pictures to get their imagination flowing.

Also, skinning should be optional.

i don't think people should be able to model whatever they want, because i could model a ball, and it would be perfect, so i say maybe, there is a theme rather than just one object... for example a theme : Sci-fi

what do you think to that?

also how long should we have to make them, i can make models quite fast, but iknow not everyone is like me, so maybe 2 weeks?
