Mideast Crisis or C&C Holland. I tried a few more (I know Boss Generals was one of em) before trying ShW. Though I might still try other mods, ShW is still my favorite

contra was my first the dual-quad-barreled-uberlord-of-death drew me in but i now play shockwave cos it is my favorite and not buggy.

Reborn: The Last Stand (v5)
but it was so buggy and unbalanced, I went looking for another...
tried:
Tower Defence,
Contra,
and Covert Ops.
saw the amphibious troop crawler on File Planet and a few other cool things for Shockwave and switched over... haven't gone back since.

first i tryed project raptor, then i tryed shw but thought that it didn't add enough compared to PR but then i found the forums and shw appealed more.

I think I first tried Reborn v.1. But after that I found the New Tech Mod, which wasn't too bad. Then I tried a bunch that were so bad I can't even remember what they were called... then I decided to take matters into my own hands and I started my own mod. Suffice it to say, I'm glad all that's behind me.

Same here, then I found Project Raptor which I had for a long time until I found Pro:Gen version 4. I didn't make Shockwave my mod until V0.91.

I don't really know, I think tried all mods in the world, probably, the first mod ever was a mod made by GunRun.

First mod I ever played was Shockwave .91 or .92, not sure which one.

Wow this is an old thread! Anyway, the first mod I played for any game was either Ultima mod for Tiberian Sun or Cybx for RA2. Then I got CannisRules for YR. I remember also trying both MooMan's revenge and Sudden Strike and finally moving on to Mental Omega once it reached a more finished state. My first ZH mod Reborn, but then I discovered ROTR (the original one by Grazor) and Contra through the CNC Guild. Finally I got Shockwave and landed here.

I'm moving this to game modding.

My first ever mod to play in Command and Conquer: Generals Zero Hour was Reborn: The Last Stand, but soon after I have quitted playing it, because it was too buggy and have many errors. Then I moved to Shockwave after learning it from Google.

After that I went on the net to find other mods, then I found Shockwave the rest is history....

Knew about ShockWave in the early 2000s, even before I had TFD and ZH. Of course when I had TFD and played ZH, ShockWave instantly popped up in my mind and voila.

umm.. not sure what ZH mod I first played, I've played so many mods.
maybe an unpopular mini-mod, or beng's laser mod, or cnc reborn, or maybe my own first mod.

Well, first mod should be some minor modification, first full-fledged mod should be Shockwave.

The first mod i've played is hand made by myself (fast tanks and infs FTW) and after getting bored of my mod, i played AirForce mod by _eRe and a few other minor mods for vGenerals.

Then Zero Hour came along...So, i downloaded and played ZH Reborn v1.0 up-to v3.0 and modded it to fit my needs while getting inspirations from early ZH mods like Shockwave and Pro:Gen and downloading free stuff from the interwebs. But after a massive computer crash, i lost all my work for my version of Reborn >.>.

Anyway, after getting a new pc after the computer crash, I decided to put back Generals and ZH up and running again; Joined alot of mods in my early days in a veil attempt to improve my modding skills (Thez knows this )....but ended up quittng because A: they fired me and b: the mods just died suddenly . So, I decided to make a personal mod for my own enjoyment instead. Then decided to share it in this forum and this is where C&C U basically started.

Rest is history...

First ever mod I have played for cnc generals was contra. Don't remember which version though, but I didn't like it since every icon was pink and screwed up even after numerous re-downloads.

I it was some random ZH mod that added a load of silly stuff (Black HC, overpowered units etc) then i stumbled across SHW in the same list and the rest is history

I belive the first mod I played was Destructive Forces, did alot of LAN games with my friends against the AI. Good times.

I've been modding Red Alert since 1997 but I hadn't actually played any mods made by others. The first third-party mod I played was Red Alert 2: DeeZire.
