I just wish that CNC3 will not be restricted with VTOL-type of aircraft and modern warfare mods, here we come. And hope that CNC3 models will still be in W3D format to save us all the hassles of waiting for a plug-in and lastly, an enhanced engine that will finally be capable of FPS polygon-count type of infantry so that I can finally play my high poly Solid Snake
...and I don't know what to do...'cause I'll never be with you...

Yes, several mod makers here plan on making mods for cnc3. If i remember right hunter was even talking of a Shockwave II.
You know, I respect you guys for making and sticking to projects like SHW, WGZH and ROTR, but why are you guys have so much projects at once and even talking about SHW II right now is a little mystery to me.
Besides CnC 3 is still Sage and it will be the same performance disaster like Generals on PCs that were around that time.
I'd say that now everybody has a 2-3 Ghz cpu Generals runs respectable at last.
I don't know what CnC3 will need but you can be sure it's double the recommendations again, besides I think the gfx is great I don't need more eye candy and CnC3 doesn't look that good either.
But ok, when a new game comes out ppl. move along no matter what.
I for my part wait for SHW 0.95 and hopefully 1.00 with a new campaign and completed challenge mode.
No nukes? Who could think of such a thing.

its gonna be way more difficult and no n00b modders will be able to work with it. Which is kind of a good thing because we wont see crappy mods like Reborn. Also the Generals Sage was an experiment. with close to 5 additional years of development the current sage engine is quite a beast to contend with.

imo that is good and bad.
i like the way that the sage engine will be amazing.
but is it really a good thing that modding is going to be alot harder, sure noobs wont be able to mod, but surey even hunter was a noob at some point. wot if he wasnt able to make his mods because he couldnt comprehend the game works?
also, are the difficulty of making unit in things like renx gonna be harder? how is that going to change?

An interesting article about C&C3 and modding in C&C3 in Derelict Studios forum.
