I think you expected the wrong thing then.. Have you played TA?
SC is amazing and gets a 9,5/10 from me only by the Multiplayer Beta. I don't have the game yet.
9,5/10 so, for SC Multiplayer Beta

Too big. I've played countless skirmish games, and I haven't finished a single one. I have to play more before I write a full review.

Bully - 8.5/10
Simply put, GTA on sedatives (a lot of them).
Virtua Fighter 5 - 8/10
Good fighing game, more realistic than the other ones. There are no super-moves, so if your a button masher you probably wont like it as much.

Fairly well done game, for a game with heroes playing a dominant role it was balanced well (also a very micro-intensive game if you wish to play higher level games).
GC2 had pretty graphics and good gameplay, but I prefered GC1 (both had good graphics).
Supreme Commander also disappointed me, there seems to be so little skill involved, mostly build orders and unit spam for the first half of the game. If you haven't finished then you probably are facing a person of equal skill. Most games finish before you can finish any experimental units since you'll either break them, or they'll break you before you get any experimentals (which IMO, are the most interesting to use since they are the only units that have clear differences).
All 3 sides are very similar but still not balanced. Still for many people it's a solid game.

Simple gameplay, engaging storyline, immersive graphics. Can any Xbox conversions get any better than this?

QTF. Apart from graphics, I'd say Total Annihilation is superior in every way.
Ground Control 2: 9/10
So very awesome, this game. Runs great on my system, fun to play and probably the only retail RTS game that features infantry that completely gib into pieces when they die.
and also:
Empire at War demo: 11/10
I was told the game failed bad, but man... This was awesome. Virtually everything seen from the movies put into a game! Might pick it up at the EB 2 games for $50 sale tomorrow

Marvel Ultimate Alliance - XBox 360
9/10
Excellent RPG. After playing X-Men Legends 2, I figured this game would be a total rip. It somewhat is, game play wise, but it has striking differences.
-Perhaps the most notable is the inclusion of costumes, that can be upgraded using your hard earned dough.
-Gear however, is limited to one item per hero this time around.
-The ability to relocate the Powers skill points is a great addition! A heads up, the initial point in any power is permanent.
-Any game with Deadpool is always full of win and awesome. 'Quick, shield me with your bodies'.
-And whenever the upgrade comes out, the game will get four new playable heroes and four new playable villains for about $10 off the XBox Live Marketplace.
The only gripe (glitch) I found is when you are about to use a chargeable attack and get stunned. The character will not come out of the stun, often resulting in death by fist. Just a heads up to any of you who are or will be playing this.

Got it yesterday. Hell, my new GFX-card now pays for itself. This game looks great and has AWESOME shooting-action in it. I love it. Some situations are a bit unfair though. Checkpoits are too far away from eachother here and there.
