I just got this idea from the old 3 word stories we used to have. I think we should write a little story between us all.

First we discuss the charecters then roughly work out the plot. The people that wish to take part and I will add a paragraph when we feel like it.

This should be quite a nice idea. Maybe we should aim for about 2000-3000 words


Anyone up for this??

A nice idea, if I wasn't already working on my fan fic I'd def put something in, prehaps use the characters who win the forum awards?

Dauth's idea for including those that win the awards does sound like a winner, but perhaps, to add to the idea just a little bit, maybe include those who win, not for the category they "won", but just because they won in general?

I'm not too sure about that I thought a real story might be a better idea.

It wont take long dauth just a couple of paragraphs is all thats needed.

Neither does the page I write for my fanfic, I just don't have the time.

Nobody's being in the story, you can write FOR it though. I think there was a misunderstanding.

And more people allows for more community involvment. But then again, too many cooks spoil the broth.

I'd say 10 would be the best amount I'll edit the people who want to be involved in the top.

Finals not over, just relooked at Red Storm II for the first time in 15 days and forgot where I was going with it :O

Ok, I got the characters that are all interested, head over to General Discussions, and look under E-Characters.

The story would fail if it was based on that. I dont know where everyone got that idea from.

What story line?

I have an idea for a plot now. Its a bit complicated.
There are two groups of aliens battling for the hearts and minds of earth one good side one evil side. (these will no feature heavily in the story at all)
the main charecter is about 17 and has a rough background. He does loads of drugs but one day his friend comes to him and tells him about a new "drug" called *insert name here* (make it up) However this drug allows you to connect halucigenically with someone in the "good" aliens side. After taking the drug and experiencing the trip his friend asked him what happens.
But the woman from the trip says he cant tell anyone but gives him a password that he can use with other people who are privalaged enough to speak to her when taking the drug. (You have to be suitable for the cause...(moar about that later) to see this woman)

So he says to his friend the password and his friend says "She told me to give it to you" and tells him about a meeting that is happening which they must go to to explain further about the woman and what she wants.


So they go to the meeting and find out the reason why humans only use the tiny percentage of their total brain power. Aliens are limiting what they can think. Humans were at first an experiment gone wrong with genetic engineering of these aliens and as the humans brain power is greater than that of the aliens the aliens need to limit it using their methods.

So the plan is to find a way to remove the twisted and corrupt alien governments of the world and get out brainpower back!

Then the worries of life will dissapear as with brainpower everything will be so much more clear.. the questions of life will be answered as if there wasnt a need even for a question.


So as you can see I propose a deep, action, spiritual, sci fi thing that covers all bases. I hope I havent been too confusing and the aliens havent put you off. I'd say the plan was moar spiritual than sci fi anyway.

I fucking hate aliens.

Thats because youve seen so many bad scifi movies your brain cringes when you hear the word tried to be placed in a different arena. The aliens wouldnt even be seen in the story. Theyd just be there. Like god. Occasionally appearing as humans. They are very spiritual things.

Agreed with Boidy. I was thinking more of a combat like story.
