Spider Man
8.5 / 10
I've never been a fan of comics, but this film is quite cool. Not too surprising story-wise but entertaining...I wonder what part 2 is like...
I just saw that it'll be on the telly on March 11 or so.

10/10. Awsome, Stylish, and Hectic War movie.

Action is great, plently of kills, stylish blood (comic book style!), great sound!

A must see if your into war movies.

Woot update:

Children of Men

10/10. Intense, awsome camera work, plenty of twists, great sets and great story. Even reminds me of Half Life 2.

007: Casino Royale

10/10. Plenty of action, women, flashy cars, and guns. What more is there to say? Same director to Golden Eye, so i found it a lot better than Die Another Day (the end to that movie really just threw me off - wtf was with the damn Ion Cannon thing with a Ice palace and a damn Paraglider scene? :))

I think its safe to say, these movies have made my fav movies of all time :)

The final 20 minutes of "Commando" 10/10
GREAT film with Arnold Schwarzenegger. The finale is like pure action, he Vs. an entire army of South American rebels who hold his daughter hostage. Only weird thing is the bad guy who looks so gay with his moustache, the leather clothes and the chainmail he's wearing. :P

Meh...I found some (ok, alot) of it ridiculous. The blood and the mutations...bitch, please. Still, it's about Thermopylae, so it's automatically made of win and awesome, and the Spartans kick ass. You can almost hear Cortana talking to King Leonidas...or should we say, Master Chief Leonidas? No, they don't look like those Spartans, but that's how much ass the kick.

On the negative side, however, is quite a list of shortcomings:

There was actually a fair amount of nudity. Dude, this is a feature film, not a pr0n flick.

On a similar note, all the dudes except the Persians wore leather bloomer-type things and capes. Dude, that's just gay. This is not a pr0n flick, nor is it a gay bar. We know Spartans wore togas and armor like the other Greeks, so why are there a bunch of dudes running around in bikini bottoms? EW.

The blood is excessive and very, very unrealistic. Blood does not behave like that, nor does it fade into the ground without a trace like that (or that fast). If you want a shitload of gore, at least make it look good.

The mutations of many characters (all bad guys) like the priests, the greek traitor, and the Persian Immortals were just ridiculous. That's just not even, like, possible. I guess if you're trying to make it look like the mental image of someone in the narrator's audience (the narrator is one of the 300) as he tells the story, then whatever, but it's still dumb IMO.

The Greeks and Thespians were not the only Greek forces initially present. At first, there were some 7,000 Greeks from the various allied city states. The Spartans did not simply march straight from Sparta to Thermopylae and find nobody there. There was a force of Greeks at the Phocian Wall already. Once the Persians began their flank march through the pass, these withdrew, with the exception of the Spartans and Thespians. The Thespians are portrayed as Arcadians in the movie.

The Greek traitor is portrayed as a Spartan. The actual one was a local peasant, named Ephialtes. This is the name of the character in the movie. However, there was an exiled Spartan amongst the Persians, his name was Demaratus. The movie morphed these into the same character, and physically mutilated him as much as they mutilated the history.

So in the final analysis, 5/10

Seen Spiderman 2 yesterday, 10/10
I really liked how Parker started questioning his vocation of being a hero. Since I loved part 1 and 2 - despite never having been into comics at all - I'm kind of curious about part 3...

Reno 911 Miami, I give it a 10/10 because I watch the series on Comedy Central, and the movie is a great (pronounced hilarious) extension of the series.

300 was based on the Frank Miller comic book of the same name based on the Battle of Thermopylae, and such fantastic differences from the real account were in the book. I haven't seen the movie yet, but I plan to this weekend.

O rly? Well that would explain it, I didn't realize that. I thought it was supposed to be a remake of the old movie 300 Spartans, and was disappointed by the ridiculousness, but if its source was like that, then ok.

Epic Movie

2/10

The only moment in the movie when I had a really good laugh is when the guy from White Castle said 'Holy Shit!'. Why? Because the crappy translator translated the word to Malay... in its literal meaning.

Damn, it`s a film mate! calm down!

Anyway last film i watched was Scarface (the one made in 1932, yay prohibition)

The car chase scenes are f**king great for a 30`s film, and the last scene where Scarface is in his flat standing at the top of his stairs (tommy gun in hand) shouting at the police (sound familiar?)

300:
9.5/10
-A great manly action film like the ones they used to make
-Good fight choreography-the first fight scene where the Spartans actually used realistic phalanx tactics in the beginning was awesome
-captured passion and individualism of ancient Greeks

Project Peacemaker - 10/10
One of my favs, seen it like 50 times. It's about George Clooney and Nicole Kidman trying to stop a Serbian terrorist from blowing up Manhattan with a stolen nuke from Russia

Commando - 20/10
Teh ultimate action-film. Period. It's got everything: Arnold Schwarzenegger, loads of dead people, firefights and shitty dialogues.
