I should give it 10 if some characters play a bit better and if they wear a bit more costumes and if there is no unnecessary sexual scenes .
War scenes was pretty good , stylish and original .

Its not an action movie, and its not a depressing movie... its just a really good thought provoking movie that contains an amazing preformance from Will Smith and his son (who plays his son in the movie as well). Its based on a true story too, so its very inspiring in many ways...
what's the movie about???? Its basically about a poor/broke genius who struggles to gain entrance into the world of private enterprising and business, while trying to support himself and his son. That's all that really needs to be said about the movie, as that the plot is so simple, that it has to be done right in order for it be so successful (which it is by the way)
as for Hitchhiker's Guide??? dear lord.. I thought this movie was a terrible interpetation of the book... don't get me wrong, I'm sure some people who have not read the book might like it...
Forerunner.. you have to tell me your opinion of the movie AFTER you've read the book, as that I'm curious as to whether you still liked the movie afterwards~

Hmmm. This guy, Zack Snyder, is going to direct "The Watchmen" film coming out next year. He's ballsy, adding crap to this perfectly good comic book. It definitely wasn't realistic, but that's not why I don't like it. Sure, it was... okay. But the fact that it added crap like Leonidas' wife and her side story was probably the worst thing you could possibly add. This film goes up there with the failed, but great concept comic book films like The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and V for Vendetta.
Flags of Our Fathers
I love how they showed how the press exploits people like that. But it's plauged by bad acting and... just the fact it's a World War II movie makes it friggin' boring and seemingly generic.
The Departed
This... This is a good movie. Especially the ending. Like some sort of Saturday Night Live sketch. Very, VERY fun.

5/10. Just a run-of-the-mill movie. Totally average. I mean some of it was pretty cool, but some was pretty much crap. I thought I would like it more than I did. I don't know, it just wasn't a very dramatic movie as I believe it was meant to be. Some parts were along the lines of comedy, too.

I only watched like an hour but there were some okay battlescenes. Guess the rest of the film isn't too bad...
Face/Off 10/10
I actually like that film. Don't know why as it's actually quite simple and doesn't require much brain but...I just like it.

"Is you is or is you ain't my con-stit-u-an-cy!?"
"I happen to belong to a certain seceret society! *cough* I don't think I need to tell you which one*cough*"
"Well ain't this a geographical oddity-two weeks from everywhere!"
"Any of you happen to be former smithies-or skilled in the art of metallurgy?"
"Jesus saves-George Nelson withdraws!"
Brazil: 9.5/10, weird, and hilarious.
"I seem to have a little complication with my complication"
"Archibald Tuttle-rouge heating engineer"
"Mother!" "Don't call me that!"
"Do you have a 278-B!?"
"If I worked for Central Services I couldn't so much as turn on the faucet without having to fill out 43,876,309 pages of paper work even if the entire block was on fire!"
"You people in Information Retrieval-always in the lingerie section!"
"Damn! Looks like they've swithed back to metric again without telling us."
"Don't worry-I won't look at your Willy"
I just love the idea of a huge beuacracy! It turned out to be hilarious! This was made by one of the members of the Monty Python team. It is the weirdest movie I have ever seen, and one of the funniest. nuff said.

Gets 11/10
It's about a jewish author who's invited into a school class to talk about being jewish in modern Germany. The film is 90 minutes long and you only see the guy talking to a dictaphone in order to record what he wants to write back to the teacher who invited him. He actually wants to reject the invitation because he thinks that the problem of German jews is not intolerance and antisemitism but more that people are overly tolerant and treating them like a raw egg which he thinks is the wrong approach. Very interesting and philosophical but almost impossible to summarise which is also the reason why he doesn't want to go. The problem can't be dealt with in a regular school lesson and it's insolent to claim that it's that easy.
EDIT:
@ Dauth: That film is indeed very nice, we watched it in English class last winter and despite not being into this sort of films, I found it quite entertaining.

Grindhouse
9/10
IN. FUCKING. CREDIBLE. This is the best movie you'll see this year. Hell yeah, way better than some pissant 300. *cough* comic was better *cough* It's bloodier, sexier, and smarter, Grindhouse is. Very fun movie. Over the top. And it's different from what you see from the trailers. What you expect is not what you'll see. God... It's so good, I was dizzy at the end.

I stumbled over this one when I was browsing Wikipedia and found the full film on Google Video. A 1980's BBC-film which is about the scenario that the Cold War turns into a hot one and shows possible events in the British city of Sheffield. Quite much like The Day After but a bit more documentary, more to the point and less character based.

I give this move a 9/10 simply because of its purely kick ass fight scenes. The only part I truly did not understand is the goat playing the damn flute.
The Good Shepherd
I hated this movie. "Best spy movie of all time," my ass. There was almost zero spying. It was more about some guy's life with him cheating on his wife every 4 scenes. I hardly got to the end. Thank goodness NetFlix is cheap. Matt Damon, you suck.

Nathan Fillion rocks... but even he can't prevent this movie from being anything but a B Film... If you wanted to rate this movie in the Genre of B-Films, it would be a 9/10...
but if you compared it to any other REAL movie besides that genre... it would probably be a 6/10.
Still the movie has a lot of great dialogue, random gore, a hilarious soundtrack and the occasional 1-second tit shot, but thats to be expected. If you watch the movie with low expectations, then you'll be fine (I know I did), but don't turn this on and expect ot have a complete thrill ride. Oh and one more, if you watch this on DVD, check out all the bonus features, particularly the behind the scenes...

I can't believe that I actually watched this shit and what's even more incredible is that even Patrick Stewart was in it. I fail to find appropriate words to describe this film...it's just......BAD!
