V for Vendetta was the last i saw at the cinema. absolutley riveting, with a powerful ending. for those of you who haven't seen it, watch it. seeing British landmarks exploding to the 1812 Overture has never been this much fun.

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and V for Vendetta didn't give justice to Alan Moore, the writer of both graphic novels. I hated both (movies, that is). The League I give a... 6/10. Sure, it was full of action, but that was just about it. Even Sean Connery, one awesome actor, was somewhat predictable. And not to mention the American. Guh. Simply disgusting. Near the end, (I hope i'm not giving anything away) he had his eyes so far away from the old gun's sights, it didn't even seem believeable that he could have shot M from there. If you're going to have a Victorian-era steampunk movie, you'd had better done it right. Or else you'll end up like The League. If they stuck to what Moore wrote, it would have been much, much, MUCH, better.

I've already rated V for Vendetta, but Black Hawk Down was pretty cool. The CGI was simply stunning, in my opinion. But the frame by frame shots were pretty lame. Twas an "okay" movie. 8/10.

Hoodwinked

10/10

Star-studded cast, most notebly Ann Hatheway and Xzibit. There were some definate funny parts, especially when Twitchie was talking. THe best part was when Twitchie had coffee (that little guy can move). David Ogden Stiers used his voice talent for Flippers, the P.I. frog. I give bonus points to the writers for using Stiers, and giving him some MASH-esque lines. Favorite line though comes from Boingo: "You best fear the ears."

Pearl Harbour

-100/10

Ohhh......Dear.....God

The only cool thing about this movie is the special effects, Like the Battle of Britain and when the bombs fall on the Battleships etc etc etc. The rest of the film is a sucky love story that makes no sense (probably because i was sleeping).

I agree with you, Cattman...Everytime I watched that film - more or less on purpose - I skipped everything but the action-part...Another film about history that got destoyed by some boring love-story...

Anyways...

SIGNS (10|10)
A great film IMO, though I was scared as hell the first time I saw it.
Great atmosphere.

Good god I hate Signs. I like horror films but M. Night Shamylenman or whatever the hell his name is has made some really crappy movies these past few years. Take The Village for instance, I didn't watch the entire thing but the impression I got out of it is simply they are people who think they are stuck back in the 1500s and the story just drags on and on and on....

Anyway Signs is poorly done. Take example that the aliens have a weakness to water, correct? The how on earth did they survive the HUMIDITY on the planet? and it's the most abundant resource on the face of the Earth.

(By the way I wasn't trying to tear apart anyone's opinions that is just my feelings for it.)

I gave The Village a 1/10 for effort and Signs a 2/10

"I AM INSANE WITH ANGER!!!"

:P funniest quote in SIGNS

it wasn't a great movie though.

Also, if they touched a human, the perspiration emitted from the sweat glands would essentially harm them.

Lol Signs was really shit... but I respect the writer coz he has some whacked out ideas... take his new one for instance... about a girl that comes out of a door from another world at the bottom of a swimming pool, and all these wolf things follow her out into our world...

Just saw the Da Vinci Code. Not quite as detailed as the book of course, but they pulled it off pretty well. Audrey Tautau wasn't as hot in it as she was in Ameilie though... 8.5/10

I'd like to refer to the song from Team America "Pearl Harbor Sucked."
If you want a good movie about December 7, 1941, you should check out "Tora, Tora, Tora." Very well done; I like how they cover both the Japanese and American sides of the conflict.

Roman Polanski may have been accused of rape, but he is nonetheless a damn good film maker.

The Da Vinci Code 8/10

The movie is simply stunning, though I do not know if it did justice to the book, for I have never read it. Somtimes it felt rushed, and I was waiting for it to end like, 5 times. You think it's over all the time, and the ending was like the ending of an episode of Law and Order. There also seemed to be much more CGI and special effects than I thought there would be. But it was a good movie, IMO with it's ups and downs. And cripes, Tom, get a haircut!
