ah well, new model made.

this time it's a large tank following the same firing principle as my contest artillery piece. the rear set of treads swivel when it turns.

The turret and the main hull remind me of the Trade Federation Battle tank (minus the robots, hover function and torpedo tubes). Not a bad thing mind you, as I believe it fits in with the swiveling rear treads. The overall design of the tank is rather unique, gives it character. Even though the barrel is a bit on the stubby side, it looks like one found on an artillery piece. The muzzle is rather large, but then I guess that's all relative to what the tank is designed to fire.

My goodness...this tank looks...wow. Epic, just epic! Hmm...perhaps you'd like to shift the turret closer to the center of the tank, since it looks like it might flip itself when it fires. :sly: The hull of the tank might need a bit more sloping but it's fine really.

an imaginary mosque for an appointment at school. no ref used, just used old mental images from books i'd seen a long time ago. i was pretty surprised when it turned out to be rather accurate though :)

Your unwrapping is very good too, can only see one error (the view port isnt aligned, but that could be fixed on the skin instead)

try to define edges and depth some more and add some gradients on the larger surfaces.

It's very good for a first try.

A few things:
- You need a lot more dodge/burn. There's barely any depth.
- The treads need work.
- Might just be the angle of the renders but it appears some of the areas you've unwrapped appear to not be in scale. Some of the rivets look larger than others.

But all in all, keep it up, and stay motivated. You don't want to end up a lazy mess like I did.
