This is the Monster from Macross, Making dynamic entry... It appears once again in Macross frontier, the next episode, which airs tomorrow, to be exact because the gif was taken from the preview... Ever since the Begining of april(?)Macross has continued Airing, after the Deculture edition of episode 1 which aired some time in 2007.

Personally, I like the lighting and detail of Alphonse's armor. Unfortunately Ed looks like a woman.
