Too bad you've already textured it, since it looks a bit squashed, the length of the plane is too short and the wingspan is too short, it's too broad too. But that's my personal opinion, don't worry.

I actually really like the model. The texture does look a little stretched across the fuselage though. It probably isn't, but it does look it.
That said, the model doesn't really look futuristic enough to match the technology of the weaponary.

I've ran into some trouble with the gunship now...I can't make it circle the target, trying it on the Harbinger gunship from the samplemod first. It simply stops there in mid air instead of circling arround the target.

Are there even any locomotors in CnC3 where the aircraft doesn't stop to attack something

Well theres the orca strike, but I don't know how relevant that one would be. Mideast crisis uses that logic for their jets anyway.
It would be stupid if the CnC3 engine does not support this while the Zero Hour one does :S

kinda even they do sometimes halt for a fraction of a second while the engine processes it's next target or something.

Circling is an Uprising only asset exclusive to aircraft with the GunshipAIState, the closest you can do is a figure 8 like Storm Riders(CNC3) or Sky Wings.

Making it fly in a eight also reduces how monotonous someone can get only flying in one direction...but then it'll only be able to bring its weapons to bear for only each half of the eight, unless its given weapons on both sides... Wow, what a dilemma!

Hot damn!!!... Akula looks pretty sick......Why not add a tail fun to fend off fighters as well like in the vertigo bomber . Would be pretty cool i guess . Not sure whether it'd make it OP.

Doesn't the Habringer in the Red Cocaine Mod have a locomotor which is similar to the one in Uprising ? You could always ask the mod creator how he did that

I've managed to make it fly in an 8 now. Simply coyping the Stormrider locomotor from CnC3 into RA3.

Hmm...it looks like you can actually put a main gun on the turret...if not I'd opt for more missile pods
