Good job I'm not a betting man - sure there will be some happy Dutchmen who've bet on their country to win it though - looks like they might go all the way, still have my eyes on Portugal to get the final prize though. Shame Greece went out, but they never had the capacity to win it this time. Spain are VERY fragile at the back, but it shows that for every one goal they concede their strike force will get more - at least against the 'lesser' teams - I'm not so sure when it comes to the larger teams and they might struggle once out of the group stages, IMO.

huh? Ronaldo is definatly not the player that can lead Portugal to win the cup...he might be the top scorrer in Premiership but thats cuz he was playin against a bunch of losers but when someone stronger comes he cant do shit

It was an awesome second half to watch. Truly outstanding football from both side, and my my if Cech the Czech didn't give it to Turkey on a golden plate....shocked me beyond belief when he dropped that ball - never seen him do that before, ever.

Good on the Swissies, I can tell you that everyone here in Basel is a little happier thanks to that result. That and the Germans lost to Croatia, I didn't realise how anti-German the Swiss were until I was in a bar watching that game. Still fancy Germany to get through tonight against Austria and reach the final.
The thing about the Dutch isn't the fact they've won their games 3-0 and 4-1. It's the fact they've beaten Italy and France. Spain's 4-1 was impressive, but it was just Russia. Not against one of the finalists of the last World Cup. Hard to see anyone stopping the Dutch now, though it's early days.
My prediction for the final- Germany 1- Netherlands 3

Awesome game between Turkey and the Czechs. I really cant believe Turkey managed to somehow claw it back from there. Spain will win it for me as they have easily the best strike partnership of Villa and Torres. Coincidently, why are neither of them on the poll for top scorer?

One half of the draw decided: Portugal vs Germany and Croatia vs Turkey. the Portugal-Germany game should be fantastic.
And I loved seeing both the German and Austrian managers sent off- fantastic. They should get sent off more often.

If the injury rumors to both Podolski and Frings are true and they cannot play, i don't think Germany have too much of a chance i'm afraid.
Those 2 are the key players for them.
Although i REALLY hope Ronaldo doesn't score.

For me it would be perfect if that happened, combined with Ballack being injured for the whole of the next season.... bloody Chelsea g*t.
