Am I supposed to just confirm to everything the staff says, lay down, and take it? Sorry but no. I'm not going to follow you and my voice will not be suppressed by you. If I got a problem with it, or what a person says. I will say so. If they counter, I will counter that counter. Thus the argument begins until one side has won.
And I am in fact discussing the topic. It has everything to do with the topic. Only your attempts at usurping anyone who has a opinion on the matter, actually de-rail this topic. Perhaps you should leave. Furthermore, cut the "as well as most people" stuff. If they got a problem then they can say so. Otherwise I'm just going to assume you pulled that statement out of your ass (For the lack of a better word).

Excuse me, but, was I talking to you? No, so get out of my business. I said that my argument with Alias should stop, because I hate fighting, and I apologized to Kenny. I had in no way talked to you, spoke to you, or said anything related to you. Before you go making false accusitions about someone's statements, look through the thread again, furthermore, you're the one that should leave if you're going to accuse someone of some crap like you just said. And no one told you to follow my ideas, either that or you don't know what an opinion means.

Well then I apologize for reading your general statement that had no actual indication as to who it was aimed at and taking it the wrong way.

Anyway since that's taken care of. I'll get back to the topic at hand.

Actually Nem didn't flame you. Flaming involves insults. I didn't see a single insult in his post. Your own however is a different story.

I have asked the administration many times to respond with something other then "Its the rules shut up." I think a Community Leader could inform the staff of how far a little compromise and understanding goes.

Now, in reality, when such reasoning is practiced, we end up with a revolution. That's what's going to happen around here sooner or later. Of course it won't be violent and bloody, but it won't be very fun either.

It's a good idea yes. I believe however the staff are not beyond learning to compromise a bit themselves. But even if they do a PR guy would be a great thing methinks.

This would be a grand idea. How would you choose said community leader? Would they be appointed by the staff, or by vote?

A vote would be ideal, seeing as how people appointed by the staff are not to popular.

That said. I don't think it's those who roam around the forums with the "staff" badge. I see Wizard, Bob, Dauth and Overdose regularly involving themselves int he community, as well as keeping things under control, while their methods are sometimes just "Locky. Shut Up" it does prevent flames spreading, and the place is generally well maintained thanks to them.
More of the problem to me is the admins in the community, I only really see E.V.E. around, getting involved with community. With the odd visit from Codecat to post something interesting, and Comr4de and The Hunter exchanging funnies in the "Funny Quotes" thread. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places, or maybe I'm not looking hard enough. Maybe there is more going on behind the scenes, maybe they do have more going on with RL, Mod work and Social Lives, and that is generally more important than here. But I'd like to see at least some effort to get to know the people that take the time to sign up on their forum. To accept them as, even friends. That's something I havent seen in a while since we've had new members joining, and it's something I really miss about this community.
