So I read that you staffers planned the strike, but why? What's the point of leaving of the forums for four days? I it was to prove that yes, we need you here, well we already knew that. If it was because you felt we were "staff bashing", I'd respond by saying no, we were offering our opinions for the better of the forums, and we apologize if it offended you (sincerely).

I'd just like to know the plan behind the madness, 'tis all.

I hope that the staff will work , as they said, on some points alias posted... the strike is over, it was impressive and useless at the same time... well it was really entertaining I guess...

All warnings have been handed out with a single member, Nem, receiving a 2 week ban. This is information pertaining to the topic, but the punishments themselves are not for discussion.

So:

1. That was not the reason Nem was banned, we don't police MSN
2. I can do what the hell I like on my MSN account, MSN should be private

Now I believe Dauth has already said to stay on topic... So let's listen, shall we?

The way I see it, the strike and the debate happened at the same time, which caused absolutely catastrophic results. So alias started a topic of his observations about the staffers/mods that were incompetent, then some of the less content members started basically bashing them and second questioning everything they did. THe next day, the staffers/mods go on a secret strike, and since all the people are already semi-pissed off at the mods and watching their every move to try an d criticize them when they get the chance, one member notices that the mods/staffers weren't on the hwole day because of the debate, and the war ensues.

Bottom line, if it wasn't for the awful timing of the strike (at the same time as the alias topics), nobody would have cared at all. Now since you guys didn't call off the strike even when you knew that the results would be disasterous, look at what you have done.

All I have to say is that both sides are to blame. One side for letting themselves get out of controls without the supervision of mods because of the ensuing arguement/war against the mods, and the other for not calling off an ill timed strike.

That is all I have to say.

I have to agree. If the staff wanted to test us by disappearing, fine. But not right in the middle of the membership discussing their issues with the staff. It honestly made the staff look pretty bad when they did that, which was part of the reason why everyone went nuts when they disappeared.

It sends the unintended message of "Well screw you, we aren't playing anymore and we are taking our ball with us". Which doesn't help relations any.

Everyone screwed up.

I knew some of the strike sometime yesterday, though some people tried to spam me to tell, like Kid, lol jk. But I just left because I had it with everyone calling me all sorts of crap, and today I logged in with a "warn" from Bob, and 2 members were banned. I'm pretty sure a lot of other people got a warn, but oh well...
