As a number of you suspected the Moderating team are indeed going to make a response, and this is it.

It was decided (well in advance of Alias' protest) that from 12 noon UK time the moderating team would go on a 4 day strike.
Alias' valid and well worded protest arrived at an ideal time to prove the point that as much as we are resented the moderating team are required.
Due to the ensuing flame wars and unpleasant behaviour the strike was cut to a single day in an emergency thread started after a discussion between two members of the moderating team.
We came into the possession of a MSN log that detailed a plan by current and banned members to stage an attack on E-Studios.
This was prevented by a single account suspension and requiring each account to be admin validated before posting could commence.
Neither the supplier of the log, nor the member of the moderating team in question shall be named.
For the behaviour over the 24 hour period of strike warnings may well be handed out.
The strike from the view of the moderating team worked as planned.

We would like to dispel rumours about admins editing posts, and can provide a screen shot of the 'moderator editing log' for the thread in question.
When we had news of a potential attack we did backup the server causing a short blackout.

Alias raised some good points about inactive moderators and it is the intention of the moderating team to act on these points.

Finally, an explaintion about the 'The truth' threads for people who don't play politics and don't drag other people's name into the mud.

Quote

Well since last night a few images were posted regarding Eve being a different person and all and people blaming her about shit ect.
I just want to tell that a few months ago there was a bit of a fight between both Eve and Stinger that went pretty far and caused a lot of shit to happen such as Stinger looking up things about NeutromKiller which is in fact a friend of her in RL but because they had similar writing styles in the past days and a few other things that were hinting at the fact that Eve would be his secret identity this was not the case.
However there was no solid proof that he was right or wrong so eventually it led into other people getting involved which also got to see those images and stuff that were used today and yesterday in those "The Truth" thread.

I was involved with a voice chat with EVE and this dispelled the rumour to me.

Stinger and Eve are not exactly friends but not enemies either now and those people from the "Truth" threads were just tearing open old wounds that were starting to heal up again.

I would like to point out that not all of the moderators get on (or even agree on everything) and it is not a problem for team members to disagree.

So, what are the results of you guys striking? No more lockies for 4 days or so? Not to irritate you guys or so, but will it affect the forum much or not?

Yesterday was the strike (i.e. us not being here). It was cut short for obvious reasons.

This is simply not on. I'm not generally involved in these disputes, but I fail to see how anything that could have happened warrants an attack on the forums. Whoever the "plotters" were, please grow up.

Much as I hate to bring this up again, I'd like to point out that as far as I am aware, there was nobody who wanted the moderation team to be removed completely.

Congratulations, staff. You missed the point of the debate entirely. We were arguing for the removal of incompetent staff members, those that don't deserve their positions. We were not arguing that the staff is entirely useless. It was clear to everybody what would happen if the staff were to vanish with nobody left in charge.

You proved the obvious. Kudos.

lol @ Boidy. Buy he has a point. I personally like ES, but I think it needs some change. Some of the staffers are just.... bleh.

And yes, I was in the chat log last night. I merely tried to influence certain parties for the better of me and maybe even ES. Once in a while we NEED chaos and anarchy to make things better.

I had no intentions of starting anything. I merely stated that my actions last night were for the better of myself, and for ES. I may have made a fool of myself, but I really don't care about that. But yeah. Let ES go on like normal, but lets hope something changes too. Lets just keep the violence down.

And you seem to have missed the point that this strike was planned before the debate

Well I hadn't had so much fun in a while. Beats the usual LPTPW spam. The fact I found most humorous was that the staff actually agreed with alias's points yet all that stuff still happened.

So what if it were planned before the debate? It still proves nothing that wasn't already perfectly obvious.
To anybody that thinks this was a brilliant move, well, no. In fact, I think less of each and every GM/Staff/Administrator for this.

I don't see how it is over now...

This solved absolutely nothing in my opinion. The staff is quite obviously necessary, a fact that was never doubted, thank you for reaffirming that.

The truth topics made me laugh though, it gave me that "for the cause! AALALALALALLALALAAL" kinda feeling. Probably has something to do with the fact its called suicide posting.

How convenient, not that it matters. It solved nothing and proved nothing. All it did was make the situation much worse.

Your all getting heated up over nothing as far as I can see. Most of what is being argued about doesn't even matter much.

I'm done in this Thread anyway. I posted everything I wanted, so ...

Last thing I wanted to say is: That I respect Alias for what he did and tried to. (Most of the moderating Team do, like it has been told you's before, but I simply wanted to say it myself again)

Sadly it didn't turned out in a good Result.
Regards,

- E.V.E.
