Looks pretty bad ass..does it go off with huge ass explosion when destroyed damaging near by things? Is it effective against armor also?

It's fairly useless against armor, for one it has less range, and it doesn't do much damage. But it can kill APCs, Wolverines, Buggies, etc.

AA looks awesome....for some reason I find the sonic waves a bit too...i don't know i find it odd. Too squarish perhaps

That Disruptor weapon FX looks like it's shooting a block of ice 
Does it have an alternative fire mode as I'd love something to drop in my drink

Its a good alternative for a Ice Cream van then xD
cant say much about the effect though. Looks a bit odd for me but might be because I never really like the disruptor effect.
